Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my application remain active?

Applications will remain active for a period of 2 years. You may have your file deactivated by contacting Human Resources by phone, email or letter.

What happens to applications once they are received by Human Resources?

The applicant will receive a confirmation email from Human Resources once an application has been submitted. It is not necessary to contact the Human Resources office regarding the status of an application. Once an application is complete, principals and/or department staff will review the application file for employment.

Why can’t I attach my documents to my online application?

Please do not add apostrophes to attachments. (ex: Sarah's cover letter.doc
change to: Sarah cover letter.doc) If you have difficulties adding attachments, please e-mail pertinent documents with a brief description of the position and campus to humanresources@manorisd.net.

Can I apply online without specifying a position?

No. All positions are unique to individual campuses or departments. Please submit a separate application for each position of interest. Example: If you are interested in an elementary teaching job, you will need to apply at each of the elementary campuses. However, once you have completed one application your information should be saved the next time you log in to the online system.

Is it possible to sort the job listings?

Yes. You can sort columns by Position, Assignment, or Location by clicking on the column headers.

What certification programs does your district accept?

Manor ISD accepts any Approved Certification Program listed under Region XIII in the State Board of Educator Certification website.

Where and when can I take the literacy test?

The literacy test is administered at the Central Administration Building located at 312 W. Murray Ave. The test can be taken during regular business hours, Monday-Thursday 8AM-5PM and Friday 8AM-4:30 PM. No appointment is needed.
