Substitute Information

Manor ISD is currently accepting applications for classroom substitute teachers. 
 
 
Substitutes are paid a daily rate based on their assignment:

Non-Degreed:

  • $85.00 a day for first ten days
  • $100.00 a day for same assignment on the 11th day

 

Degreed (Bachelors or higher):
  • $90.00 a day for first ten days
  • $110.00 a day for same assignment on the 11th day

 

Certified Teacher (SBEC):

  • $95.00 a day for first ten days
  • $125.00 a day for same assignment on the 11th day

 

RN:

  • $120 a day for first ten days
  • $145.00 a day for same assignment on the 11th day

 

LVN:

  • $100 a day for first ten days
  • $120.00 a day for same assignment on the 11th day

 

PK, Special Education Behavior or Life Skills Aide:

  • $85.00 a day for the first ten days
  • $100.00 a day for same assignment on the 11th day

 

 

Campus Administrator:                                                      $250 per day

Counselor:                                                                           $225 per day

 

 

Clerical/Technical:                                                               $10 per hour

Custodial:                                                                             $10 per hour

Child Care Provider:                                                            $10 per hour

Child Nutrition:                                                                      $9 per hour

High School Student Worker:                                              $8 per hour

 

Academic Tutors/ Interventionist (Before/During/Afterschool): 
$25 hour (SBEC Certification)  $20 hour (Bachelor’s Degree)  $15 hour (Minimum of 24 hours of College Credit)
 
 
Substitute Employee Training
Substitute employee training sessions are held at Central Administration Office located at 10335 Hwy 290 East in Manor, Texas 78653. Applicants must complete an online substitute application to apply for substitute employment. The human resources administrative team reviews employment applications and selects substitutes for consideration.
 
All selected substitutes are notified prior to the training.
Those selected will be notified by e-mail of the date and time of  
the scheduled substitute training session.  Substitute employee training    
sessions will be posted on this page.
 
Please complete the following to be considered to substitute:
1. Complete a Manor ISD Online Application
 
2. Additional Substitute Qualifications
  • Substitute Teaching Requirements: You must have at least 24 college hours or be enrolled in college with a minimum of 12 college hours.
  • RN & LVN – must have completed and maintained an applicable health care license.
  • Educational assistant/associate or clerical support substituting – must have successfully obtained a High School Diploma or a GED Certificate and pass a literacy test.
  • Successfully pass a criminal history background check
  • All selected applicants must complete a state mandated criminal background check according to TEA rules and guidelines. Applicants must pay for the cost of the state mandated criminal background check. Details regarding the state mandated background check will be discussed at the substitute employee training session. Please note, substitutes cannot work until the state mandated background check has been completed.
 
Substitute Document Requirements
District policy requires that the following items and files be submitted to the Human Resources Department before substituting with Manor ISD. Please download these forms and bring them with you when attending the substitute training session to insure your application file is complete. Copies of these forms and any assistance you might need completing these forms will be provided for you at the substitute training session.
  • Original proof of identity and employment eligibility (Social Security Card, Driver’s License, and Resident Card)
  • A copy of your high school diploma, GED, or college transcript
  • A copy of your teaching certificate (if applicable)
  • Voided Check for Direct Deposit
