Mission Statement

The mission of the Dropout Prevention Department is to ensure that all students in Manor ISD complete a diploma by identifying students with early warning indicators and providing support systems and alternative completion paths to best attain student achievement and success.

Dropout Prevention Department Philosophy:

The Manor ISD Dropout Prevention Department philosophy is that all students CAN complete a diploma and be prepared to succeed in a college or career after graduation.

Dropout Prevention Process:

The process of dropout prevention requires focus, persistence, collaboration, data analysis, and attention to detail.  See the "Leaver Team" link at the right for more information about our dropout prevention process.

Program Goals:
    1.       Identify, provide services, and recover students so that Manor High School and New Tech High will have a Completion Rate of more than 75%; Manor Middle School and Decker Middle School will have a Dropout Rate of less than 1.4%; and Manor Excel Academy will have a Completion Rate of more than 60% and a Dropout Rate of less than 20%.
    2.       Implement Leaver Teams at all Manor ISD Secondary campuses to monitor students who are at-risk of not completing a high school diploma, provide them with wrap-around services needed to ensure graduation from school, and prepare them for successful lives after high school.
    3.       Maintain data processes that facilitate the identification of students at risk of becoming dropouts and accurately monitor dropout, completion, and graduation rates.
    4.       Host Dropout Prevention Leadership Summits to involve the Manor community in planning for the success of Manor ISD students.
