We are a state licensed, NAEYC accredited child care facility providing full time care to children of Manor ISD employees and teen parents from birth to 4 year old. Sometimes, if space allows and the schedule can be followed we as well accept community families. We are licensed with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We currently participate in the childcare services program through the Workforce and we are noted as a Texas Rising Star Provider (4 star), along with our national accreditation with NAEYC.
Hours & Location:
We are open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the regular school year, including most teacher workdays & staff development days and closed school holidays.
We are located at 600 East Parsons, Manor, Texas. We are housed on the Manor Excel Academy High School campus located in the 600 and 700 wing which is in the back left of the school campus. We have an open door policy and encourage you to drop by to see all the great things happening at the CDC.
Staff Training & Education:
The Child Development Center staff believe that we are "brain builders" and in order to be able to do this, we as well need to be held accountable for our education. Our teachers complete at least 30 hours of continuing education in early childhood field each year and all of our teachers are CPR and 1st Aid certified to include SIDS and Shaken Baby.
We currently have 20 teachers/staff: 1 with her MaED in Early Childhood, 1 with her BA in Human Development and 3 working on their AAS in child development, 5 have finished their CDA and 2 are still working on it and 1 with some college hours and 6 with HS diplomas who will hopefully be beginning college soon. Most have received scholarships from the ACC Teacher TRAC program
to continue their education which has been a huge assistance for many teachers to complete their courses.
We are here to provide a fun, safe, nurturing, and learning environment that fosters growth in all areas of development for the children and to support their families.
We want to ensure that all children have access to a safe and accessible, high quality early childhood education that includes a developmentally appropriate curriculum with knowledgeable and well- trained staff that are continually learning. This will include providing an environment that supports all children’s health, nutrition, and social well- being, in an environment that respects and supports diversity.
